Client versus customer
Unfortunately, there are a lot of confusing definitions of those two terms with no clear-cut. These are my definitions of the two terms:
A client is:
- A B2B buyer―a business that buys from another organisation.
- An individual buyer who buys services from a business, such as a bank, a solicitor, a travelling agent, insurance and others. Typically, those services are low-frequency purchased products.
A customer is a B2C buyer who buys products from a business. Commonly, those products or services are high-frequency purchased products.
